It’s been on every pair of BALDWIN denim since our first pair of jeans in 2009. The circular symbol has since graced trousers, t-shirts, crewnecks, hats, oxfords and countless other BALDWIN designs as a seal of artisan-level quality. As our collection continues to evolve each season, the white rivet withstands as the ultimate point of connectivity between our brand and anyone who steps into our clothing.
We created a simple, hand-painted signature that’s subtle for a reason. “It should be about the person who wears the clothing and makes it their own,” Matt Baldwin said. The inconspicuous design was inspired by the merge of old world heritage and modernity. “When I design, I always look at tradition,” Baldwin says of the process. “The past becomes the fuel for the future.”

The white rivet embodies what we stand for. It’s a connection, easily recognized by those in the know. It denotes subtlety and intentionality in design. It’s the mark of a great story, ready to be told. “I have to be accountable for the quality, but it’s not about me,” Baldwin says “It’s something much bigger than myself, and being part of that is why I got into business in the first place.”
It was never meant to be just ours. It’s meant to be shared. It’s meant be yours. #thewhiterivet
